Player Name: Nick Pritchard
Character Name: Sebastian Ainsworth de Villain
Description - A serious looking man standing 6' 3" with blond hair and blue-grey eyes. He looks like a man broken by the world.
Personality - The incredible loss and recent events, has tempered his mood from his previous playboy demeanor he used to carry, replaced by bouts of melancholia and ill temper. Unknown to the population at large, Sebastian still hears the voices of his family. They speak to him constantly, providing direction or derision. He doesn't know if they're real, or if he's connected to his dead family on a much deeper level, but he takes comfort in their presence.
History - Sebastian started his life with the Villain family in 1901 when Lucien and Dove stole away to the Americas. For the better part of the 20th century, he served as the family driver and groundskeeper. During this time he became dependent on a variety of drugs and alcohol, often showing up to gatherings with his master drunk and/or high. In spite of his addictions, as the eldest thrall in the family's employee, Lucien negotiated Sebastian's embrace into the Gangrel clan. Though he spent some time claiming to be Mehket, he quickly became a paragon of the House and the Invictus. His eventual claim of being Gangrel came as no surprise to the populace, but allowed him to expand the influence of the family into the other clans. It was a calculated risk that eventually paid off.
Sebastian was quickly recognized as a Groom of animals, and inducted into the Knighthood of the Dark Horse, a loose organization of knights dedicated to rapid response to Invictus threats. In 2008, while the city was suffering under Carthian control, Sebastian led the Invictus in a coup of the city of Muncie, becoming it's Prince and driving the Carthian's from power. That same evening someone snuck onto the Villain estate and burned the manor house to the ground, presumedly with the family inside. Or course the family had planned the whole event. The city could not stand the rule of the Carthian's another day, nor would it accept the rule of the Villain's again. So the Villain's removed them both.
The family retired to the wilds of Montana. During that time they continued to grow in potency and stopped being able to feed themselves. Their various derangements began to amplify and turn on each other. One by one they fell into slumber until the last of them, Sebastian fell to torpor. He awoke many years later, surrounded by the sealed stone sarcophagi of his family and a variety of voices in his head. Confident in his family’s safety and content to speak to them in their dreams, Sebastian returned to Muncie, to take his rightful place as Prince of the city.
In Muncie, he put laws into place, solidified his power base, and ultimately was on his way toward gentrifying the city, when the Ball State clock tower exploded. The exact details of how the tower fell were never really determined, but the amount of attention it's felling brought was nationwide and drew some unwelcome visitors to the city. Hunter paramilitary groups purged the city and it’s surrounding areas of any supernatural they could find. Sebastian fled along with several other members of the city, leaving everything behind. The resultant retreat cost him more than he'd care to admit. All of the power, the money, the houses, the cars, and most importantly his family, crumbled overnight.
He now wanders the streets of Chicago, a vagrant and trespasser in one of the true bastions of Invictus power. A power that he no longer belongs to, for the conquered have no place among the mighty Invictus. Instead he’s turned inward, under the tutelage of the local Ordo Dracul chapter, to better himself and keep his temper and anger in check. Powers & Skills - He's an incredibly skilled hunter. He is well known for his skill with animals, though he displays little affinity for Animalism. Perhaps his most striking aptitude is with the discipline of Protean, he is truly a master of the discipline.
