Description -
Esther is a woman far from unaware of her own beauty, though said beauty is not the painful sort. It is an elegant, well-formed, almost sculpted beauty. It is plain that someone made sure that she was at the height of her beauty and form before embracing her. Esther is also not above using it to her advantage or the disadvantage of others. She is like vodka on the tongue, velvet and satin on the skin, the brush of lips over your cheek. There's something deep, dark, hungry, and dangerous in those eyes. They are like dark hooks for the soul. Her hourglass-figured body is inviting, her smile coy and sweet at the same time. And the way her teeth catch her bottom lip or the tip of her tongue caressing the corner of her mouth...
She is the purest temptation.
Personality -
Esther is skilled in etiquette, charming and sweet as honey when required. When angered, she is sharp as a knife. And to those whom she calls friend, she is warm and helpful, full of concern. I wonder what side you will come down on?
History -
What most people tend to remember of Esther is that, in 2010, she took on the position of Prince's Harpy and Herald of Muncie under Prince Dash's purview. She had also opened an establishment, with Iris in 2009, called the Orchid Lounge and sought to make it a legacy that Iris von Hapsburg would have been proud of.
In June of that year, Esther was torpored by Sigmund Porter, Prince of Indianapolis, and Baroness Notary McGreggor for her repeated refusal to apologize for speaking against him in one of her city's harpy reports. Upon her body's return to Muncie, she was brought out of torpor by a friend.
One month later, the Council in Muncie voted for Esther to take over the Council's Harpy position within the Court, presumably to allow her more autonomy with her "equal opportunity voice". She continued on much as she always had with little disturbance and some traveling. In October of 2010, Esther left home to visit the Prince of Kokomo but then disappeared while visiting Indianapolis immediately afterward and no one heard from her. It was known by some that she was betrayed, ambushed, torpored, and sent away in a box by the court of Indianapolis.
No one heard from her for the better part of a year.
The following September, Esther made a formal return to Kindred Society by co-hosting Club Perfect with Vanessa Channing at the Grand Event in New Orleans. The next summer, she was was spotted at the head table alongside the hosts at a grand gathering in Michigan, as well as at the Daeva meeting later on in the night, enjoying Master Lin Wu Kwan's wonderful treats with "friends".
Now, with the decimation of certain parties in Indianapolis, she returned to Muncie, though that return didn't even last for a year before hunters decimated the Kindred population of the city.
It has been around a year since Muncie had fallen. No one knows for sure what happened, but Muncie was not the only city in the region to fall. Several cities, including several in Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio fell within a three-week period. Rumors had it that it was a large coordinated hunter strike, while others claim that the hunters were just pushed into those cities.
The Orchid has flourished in its location in Chicago, becoming the new “Casablanca” for the court of Chicago. For better or for worse, Justine Lasky has made this one of her go-to spots in the city. Esther has started to become one of the go-to people for the Invictus Court. Due to Esther, the Lancea Sanctum are starting to become more tolerated in The Conquering King’s court.
Powers & Skills -
Esther is a Daeva in every way. Few people have ever seen her in combat and fewer still can imagine why the hell she would ever need to be so. She has the innate ability to make almost any person feel at home. A brilliantly intelligent woman, she is able to engage almost anyone in conversation and make them comfortable. Her tongue is skilled in many a way, as is her pen, flattering and complimenting those in power when they deserve it, forging alliances, and destroying reputations. If you need something said or written, she's your woman for the job.
